Recently the 4.12 Leadership Training Program team had the awesome opportunity to take 26 eager students to the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter in Kentucky. This was to help students build a stronger biblical worldview and continue to learn how to best defend their faith in the midst of a flurry of different thoughts and beliefs. As we were able to engage with students in questions and teachings one thing stood out to me; they were excited to learn and be challenged. At the end of the weekend I gave them a message that was based on 1 Peter 3:15, “but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you yet do it with gentleness and respect.”
Students were challenged to not just defend their faith but to live in such a way that honors Christ and points others to the hope that is inside them, that is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
