I had a day’s work waiting for me at home and running errands was taking longer than expected. As my husband and I made one more stop at a convenience store I was reminded of all the tasks waiting at home. When we entered, I saw a Bible Adventure student from the program I coordinate and teach. I smiled and pointed to the student saying, “I know you. You are Tina*.” I introduced myself to Tina’s mom and explained how I knew her daughter. As the Bible Adventure Training and Curriculum Coordinator, I was able to answer the questions and concerns Tina’s mom had about the program. After several minutes, Tina’s mom explained that she and Tina’s dad were thinking about pulling her out of Bible Adventure. They didn’t know anything about those running the program and Tina was their only child. They understandably wanted to protect her. I invited Tina’s mom to visit Bible Adventure for herself so that she could familiarize herself with the place her daughter is attending. She accepted the invitation and said, “This was not a chance meeting.” Only God could have put us in that convenience store at just the right moment to connect. Because of “one more stop”, one of His children is able to continue learning about Him and growing spiritually; He always knows best! I am amazed by how God directs divine appointments… right time, right place.
