Isaiah 8:19-22 NIV – When someone tells you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living? Consult God’s instruction and the testimony of warning. If anyone does not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn.
Please pray for our children as the forces of evil attempt to deceive them. Every week on television there are programs that depict witches, and mediums in the most positive light possible. TV shows provide entertainment in a land of pretend where no one except the bad guys ever truly get hurt; a land where witchcraft and sorcery is honorable and used for good to save the world. As my 4-year-old niece once said “Don’t worry it’s only pretend.”
All of these “pretend” subjects desensitize children to the real danger of evil involved in choosing to consult with mediums and their kind for direction in life. Today ask God to render powerless the forces that would deceive the minds of the children and staff of your school into practicing any form of witchcraft or divination.
Micah 5:12 NIV- I will destroy your witchcraft and you will no longer cast spells.
