Again, I find myself extremely blessed to be able to minister and equip the students of the 4.12 Leadership Training Program.
Yesterday, I had lunch with an upper level 4.12 student who was serving at camp with me this weekend. The conversation took a turn towards talking about school and life after high school.
This particular student is wrestling through where his identity truly lies. You see, there is so much emphasis and pressure on high school students to get “good grades” in school and to get into the best college so they can get the best job (which are not bad things at all). However, they often lose sight of who (and WHOSE) they truly are.
1 John 3:1a says, “See what kind of love the Father has lavished on us that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!”
This simple statement, when taken to heart even just a little bit, releases tremors that affect every aspect of one’s life.
God appointed that time with this young man to begin the process of believing who he truly is – a highly-valued and loved child of God.
I appreciate your prayers and support! God is doing great things in these students’ lives.
