BA/CIA Curriculum Coordinator
A cute little gift showed up at my house. A box of graham crackers, bag of marshmallows, and Hershey chocolate bars tied together with a string and note, “we need S’more team members like you.”
Looking at the tasty ingredients needed to make a delicious treat, my mind went to work.
What do we need S’more of to offer a better program? Our Bible Adventure team thought about this because we and our volunteers desire to reach more children for Jesus!
A few things came to mind: S’more connecting, S’more praying, S’more object lessons, S’more ways to share the Gospel, S’more camp updates… This month we are offering training for our CIA and Bible Adventure volunteers.
The COVID crisis has not stopped our programs from connecting with students, it has just changed the way it looks. Some programs are operating in person, some are virtual, and other programs are sending lessons to students then making phone calls to connect.
God continues to work. An Equipping Coordinator praised God as she realized one of her schools had 10 students begin a relationship with Jesus. How amazing is that?! We praise God for changed lives!
Can we count on you to spend S’more time in prayer as we continue to share the Hope of Jesus? Galatians 6:2 reminds us to “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
I am so grateful for the work God is doing through these programs and volunteers in the lives of children.
