Elijah Shively
Assistant Program Director
Elijah has been involved with Joy El in a variety of ways. He spent five years in, and graduated from, the 4.12 Leadership Training Program. Over the summers he’s worked on maintenance, been a senior counselor, and served as the Wilderness Camp Coordinator. He’s now in a year-round position as Assistant Program Coordinator. As he serves in this role, he loves being able to reach out to future staff and begin stirring up their energy and excitement for summer camp.
Elijah attends Shippensburg University as a Business major. He’s a sports enthusiast and is a Seahawks, Braves, and Clippers fan. He also has a love for Eagle Scouts and all things outdoors, as well as running track and cross country, which he did in high school. One of his favorite scripture passages is Romans 4:20-21; these verses encourage him to rely on God’s promise in the day to day, because he can remember what the Lord has in store for him.
