Bible Adventure Training and Curriculum Coordinator
Our recent training for Bible Adventure and CIA focused on ideas to help students begin a relationship with Jesus. After teaching the “paper cross tear” method of sharing Jesus, we broke into small groups and had volunteers share.
A teen volunteer said she uses a song that explains the plan of salvation. Another person in the small group asked if she could sing the song. She agreed and began to sing, “Our hearts were dark with sin until the Savior came in. His precious blood I know has washed us white as snow…”
Sitting next to the teen was an older volunteer and although she had a mask on, I could see she was smiling a huge smile. Later I learned that the older volunteer had taught the song to the teen several years earlier in Sunday school.
The verse that came to mind was Psalm 145:4- “One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.”
Who are you teaching? What impact are you leaving on the next generation?
Not only are children in Bible Adventure getting equipped with how to share the gospel, but the volunteers are as well! God is using these intergenerational relationships to expand His kingdom here on earth.
We are grateful for the volunteers who see the value in training the next generation!
