Right after the Allegheny Sectional for the Christian Camping Conference Association (CCCA), some of our staff had an opportunity to head to Lancaster Bible College (LBC) for their Camp Fair. LBC has over 2,300 students on campus, so we were really excited to get to connect with as many of them as possible!
At the LBC’s Camp Fair, camps such as New Life, Pine Valley, Camp Conquest, and Joy El were all present, working side by side to inspire college students to minister to children over the summer. The camaraderie among us was palpable—conversations flowed easily, and there was a sense of genuine excitement as we encouraged the next generation to take on the mission of ministry through Christian camping.
In fact, the event was also a great chance for Conquest and Joy El to connect regarding our shared need for maintenance volunteers—proof that when we work together, we all benefit.
During this event (and through our time at the Allegheny Sectional), we were reminded that each of the camps that were present have the same goal: to give children the opportunity to know their creator better. So why try to compete all the time? Why not collaborate and partner with one another instead?
