Angel Tree

Incarceration can strain family ties to the breaking point. By providing Christmas gifts on behalf of incarcerated parents, sending kids to summer camp, hosting sports camps, and other activities, Prison Fellowship Angel Tree extends the hope of the Gospel to families with loved ones in prison.

Angel Tree makes summer camp possible for prisoners’ children, partnering with churches and Christ-centered camps. Campers embark on an unforgettable journey and experience God’s love along the way!  A camp experience can change a child’s life forever. Angel Tree camping is a chance for children of incarcerated parents to get away from their daily challenges and have fun in the great outdoors, making new friends and meeting caring adult counselors. At camp, children encounter the love of Jesus and discover hope for the future.

To qualify for a week of summer camp or a retreat through Angel Tree, a child must have a parent who is currently incarcerated.    For more information about a scholarship through Angel Tree, please contact Miriam at (717)369-4539 or [email protected]

Psalm68Five

Psalm68Five began in 2015 and is a new partner in ministry for Joy El.  One in 4 children in the US live without their father.  Statistics tell us that many fatherless kids will grow up to become drug addicts, school drop-outs, alcoholics or teen suicide stories.  Psalm68Five believes God has a better plan.

Psalm68Five serves the fatherless by:

  • Providing opportunities to attend Christian camp
  • Creating, collecting and sharing ministry resources that intentionally serve the fatherless
  • Encouraging camps and other Christian partners in their calling to care for the fatherless.

Scholarships are available for any child whose father has passed away, is incarcerated, has abandoned the family, or very rarely connects with the family. Children in foster care are also eligible to receive this scholarship.   While our heart goes out to children of divorced parents, this scholarship is not designated for them unless they have extremely limited contact with their father.
