Overview

Leaders, bring your church kids to join us for an exciting weekend designed for building relationships and strong spiritual foundations. We’ll provide lots of connection opportunities in a fun, faith-filled environment, along with solid teaching from God’s Word that will help students come to know Jesus better.

Construction Zone – December 2-4, 2022

When building something new the foundation is important.  Children are at the time to build the foundation of their faith; they need to have a strong foundation that is built on truth and cannot be shaken in the future based on situations that they face.

The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.” – Matthew 7:25

Liz Brown has been involved with Joy El for over 35 years, primarily through the weekly Bible Adventure program. She loves telling the true stories from scripture to eager, open minds! She is honored to teach on the “Word of Jesus,” at the upcoming winter retreat.

She and her husband Allen have been blessed with 44 wonderful years of marriage. They have 4 grown children and 9 grandchildren who keep them hopping. They enjoy traveling and just hanging out with each other.

Welcome to Paradise: February 24-26, 2023

We often live without a view of eternity in mind.  A day will come when God welcomes all who have a relationship with Him home to be with Him forever.  What does that mean to children today and how can we help them to understand the joy they have in eternal life with God?

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” – Revelation 21:4

“Joy El’s Bible Adventure Retreats are ‘all encompassing.’  Children have the opportunity to learn about Christ through music, scripture, open dialog and team building activities.  The structure of the weekend allows for each child to embrace Christ differently.  Whether it is through a quiet conversation or a real ‘leap of faith’ on the zip line.  Everyone comes away from Joy El feeling loved, more confident and faithful. Our staff and volunteers look forward to this weekend just as much as the children.”
