Scholarships are available for summer staff who serve the entire summer.

Scholarships start at $500 and increase to $750 and then $1,000 for returning staff.

Available Roles:

Lifeguard:

The Lifeguard ensures swimmers’ safety in the pool during summer camp by supervising all activity at the pool. They also accomplish this by completing daily cleaning of the pool and locker rooms.

 

Maintenance Assistant:

Our Maintenance Assistants ensure the safety and upkeep of our facilities alongside our Maintenance Coordinator during the summer.

 

Office Assistant:

The Office Assistant is responsible for providing administrative assistance for our Front Office. This includes answering phones, data entry, and helping with set up for weekly registrations during summer

camp.

 

Photographer:

The Photographer helps cast the net by taking photos that not only provides lasting memories for campers, but also ones that help promote Joy El and its Vision, Mission, Motto, and Core values.

 

Senior Counselors:

Senior Counselors provide supervision of children on Joy El’s property throughout each week of summer camp.

 

Videographer:

The Videographer helps cast the net by taking Video Footage that not only provides lasting memories for campers, but also ones that help promote Joy El and its Vision, Mission, Motto, and Core values.

 

High Ropes Coordinator:

The High Ropes Coordinator ensures the safety of children during any high adventure activities during the summer. They will facilitate high adventure activities and help guide our summer staff in proper high ropes safety.

 

Assistant Cook:

Our Assistant Cooks are responsible for helping in meal preparation and kitchen efficiency alongside our Food Service Coordinator and year-round Part-Time cooks during the summer.

 

Canteen/Camp Store Coordinator:

The Canteen/Camp Store Coordinator is responsible for sales and

 housekeeping in our canteen and camp store during the summer. This includes maintaining/checking campers canteen/camp store accounts, supervising and keeping track of purchases during canteen/camp store times, and keeping inventory of the canteen/camp store.
