Mother Son Retreat – March 8-10, 2024

Mother Son Retreat 2024

What is it that we treasure? The world tells us to seek fame, fortune, and success while God tells us to pursue the things that will last. What are these things that have eternal value? How can mothers empower their sons to seek after lasting treasures?

“But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Matthew 6:20-21

Speaker

Dawn Cox Dawn Cox will never forget the day her firstborn came into the world in a Grapevine, Texas hospital. She turned to her husband and shared, “I don’t know how to take care of a boy. What do I do?” She got the answer to that question and then some, and twenty years later is the proud Momma to three boys, ages 20, 18 and 11.

She would be the first to admit that as a Mom and parent, she is perfectly fumbling forward and continues to grow and learn every day.

Dawn’s greatest joys in life are bonding with her kids, teaching them important life lessons, exploring the spectrum of their emotions, teaching them to be kind, enjoying fun with them before they get too cool to have fun with Mom, and shaping their minds.

Dawn is on staff with FamilyLife, a ministry of Cru. She remains a proud Mom to Samuel (20), Benjamin (18), Caroline (14), Joseph (11), and Annabelle (6). She lives in Orlando and has been married to her husband Paul for 22 years.
