We praise God for the opportunity to share His love with children. This past year God brought 3,600 children into a weekly encounter with Him through the Released Time Bible Program. Yet, we are aware that there are 26,400 children in those grades back at the schools (where we are currently ministering) who still need the hope of Jesus Christ.
Over the next two weeks, we want to pray for these children. We invite you to pray with us.
“But Jesus called the children to him and said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these (Luke 18:16).’”
“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).
Heavenly Father, we ask you to give open doors to all programs that bring Christ into this public school. Help the groups who sponsor such programs to function according to Your Word and in harmony with each other. Bless the leaders and bring forth new and growing believers. Open the hearts of children to your eternal truth. May they see the hope of Jesus Christ and respond to His invitation to a relationship with Him.
May your kingdom come. From the students at each school, raise up a generation of people who worship You in spirit and in truth. (Jn 4:23-24, 1 Pe 2:9, Psalm 24:6).
Pray also that many children will choose to register for a Christian summer camp experience at Joy El Camps and Retreats this summer. God changes lives in Released Time and at summer camp.
