Joy El is seeking individuals to fill the following positions:
Summer Camp Positions (seasonal):
Counselors (Senior Staff)– His/her role is to provide a safe environment for campers to grow spiritually, physically, socially, mentally, and emotionally displaying how all of life is meant to be lived in relationship with God. (High School graduate and above)
Summer Office Assistant – The purpose of this position is to assist the Camping Ministries Assistant in registration, reception, other office tasks, and assist with other activities at camp as needed. This person should enjoy customer service, data entry and telephone work.
Assistant Cook- This position is designed to provide food service to both the campers and staff providing delicious and timely meals to advance what God is doing through Joy El Camps & Retreats.
Lifeguard—This position is responsible for the safety of campers at the swimming pool and splashground as well as for the daily upkeep and maintenance of pool conditions.
Canteen/Campstore Coordinator - This position oversees and operates sales and staff for the canteen (snack shop) and campstore throughout the summer, and manages camper accounts of funds paid toward the canteen/store purchases. This person orders product, takes inventory, operates a cash register and oversees canteen staffing. The coordinator should be able or willing to learn Microsoft Excel to track camper accounts.

Volunteer Coordinator (part-time): Joy El is seeking a part time Volunteer Coordinator. This position includes promoting the programs of the camp, as well as recruiting for and relationship building with volunteers for regular and re-occurring events. A passion and love for people, as well as a commitment to Joy El’s mission are key to this position. Released Time Middle School Missionary: Joy El is seeking a missionary to lead our Middle School Released Time Bible Program. This is a year-round, full-time position. A passion to help middle school students encounter Christ and equip adults to do the same, as well as a commitment to Joy El’s mission are also key to this position. Housekeeper (part-time): Joy El/Greencastle is looking for a part-time housekeeper to join its camping ministry team. Our mission is “to provide opportunities for people to experience life-change through personal encounters with God.” This individual must possess a good work ethic, be organized and willing to work a flexible schedule (approximately 8-10 hours per week) that may include weekend hours during the summer. Equipping Coordinator (part-time): This is a missionary position where the person would invest time relationally connecting, equipping, and recruiting ministry leaders (School Coordinators) to minister to school children in grades 3-8. This would involve training, one-on-one mentoring and providing encouragement to School Coordinators. You would help them plan and implement a growth strategy so that more children can be reached for Jesus Christ (10-40 hours per week, mid-July through April). Bus Driver (Volunteer): Joy El has an opportunity to minister to 86 Released Time students from Hooverville and Summitview Elementary Schools. However, this can only happen if we have a bus driver that would be able to transport the students to and from school. The time is Wednesdays from 12:20 – 3:30. Do you have a CDL license with a Passenger Endorsement or know someone who does? If so, you may be God’s instrument to touch 86 students with the hope of Jesus each week.
