Earlier this summer I had the privilege of visiting the Fairview Avenue Community Day Camp. This was one of six community day camps Joy El, a Christian camps in pa, led this summer.
I had a great time helping with the Gospel color bracelet. The beautiful lesson it teaches about sin, redemption, and eternal salvation in Christ was so easy for the kids to grasp. The summer staff and host church did an excellent job engaging the kids and loving them.
I noticed that several campers had special needs and the way the summer staff went out of their way not only to meet those needs but also make sure these campers were included was fantastic!
During my visit, the kids meet the Bible verse memorization goal for the week and as a reward they got to pie their counselors with shaving cream. Please take a moment to watch the video I was able capture of this moment.
