We had just started the second dodgeball game of the evening. The excitement was running high as sons were attempting to defeat their fathers.
A father came up to me and shared, “I just want you to know how great this weekend has been. Thank you for all you do.”
As you can imagine, I was encouraged by his words.
I decided to probe a little further. “What made it so good for you?” I asked.
He shared, “My son just accepted Jesus!”
As a parent, you know that great joy!
God did some amazing things during the father/son retreat weekend. Our theme verse was from Psalm147:3. “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
God definitely brought healing and bound up many wounds.
