Knowing the enemy is as important for a believer as for a military commander – both are engaged in battle.
Scripture tells us that Satan is a roaring lion (1 Peter 5:8) And he’s looking for someone to devour. We need to resist and stand firm in the faith (1 Peter 5:9).
In Revelation chapter 12 we read that our enemy is known as the great dragon, the ancient servant, the devil, Satan and the accuser. He accuses brothers and sisters and leads the whole world astray. Since the beginning in Genesis 3, Satan makes it his continual business to cast doubt on God’s word and to discredit God’s Son and to destroy the followers of Jesus.
He wants to take away God’s word from their hearts (Luke 8:12). Regularly we see the devastating effects of the evil one on the lives of children. But God has called us to continue to share the gospel. And Jesus reminds us to take heart that he has overcome the world (John 16:33).
We need to pray. We are helpless on our own; we can’t fight the enemy – we need God’s strength and power.
Thousands of years ago, the Israelites had enemies as well. God reminded them regularly, “The LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory” (Deuteronomy 20:4).
We are praising God for the victory that He gives. Over 298 Children have received spiritual victory since September 1, 2015.
Thank you for doing battle on your knees!
