Joy El Ministries announces the recent hiring of Irene Etim as Middle School Coordinator for the Released Time Bible Program. In her new missionary role, Etim will oversee the operations, staffing and curriculum of the Christians in Action program, the middle school arm of the Released Time program.
Executive Director, Aaron Ziebarth says, “Irene has already shown herself to be of high character. Her strengths, gifts and passion for her calling make her an ideal person to serve the youth of Franklin and Fulton counties. We are privileged to have her as part of the Joy El team.”
Etim comes to Franklin County from the DC Metro area where she has previously worked in several customer service fields. She has also served as a leader at her church with the youth orchestra and choir, and most recently served at Joy El Camps & Retreats during the summer camp season as a senior counselor.
Etim states enthusiastically, “I am extremely humbled by the gravity of the task that God has called me to do at Joy El. I hope I will be able to bring fresh ideas, and a different perspective that will bridge the gap between the age groups involved. The students of today are interested in knowledge. My goal is to reveal to this generation of students that ‘the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.’”
Joy El operates the Released Time Bible Program, the 4.12 Leadership Training Program, J-Serve (a gap year program for college-age individuals), and also operates Joy El Camps & Retreats, one of the premiere Christian camps in PA.
