As Bible Adventure is beginning to kick off for the year, here’s a throwback post of God using Bible Adventure to bring kids not only to summer camp but closer to Him.
Toward the end of summer camp last year, a girl from Leadership Experience came up to me at lunch for a hug… I had to ask her name. She and her sister attended STEVENS Released Time many years ago… As God would have it, I called into that home during the phone-a-thon before camp began. At that point, they weren’t planning to come.
Now, Angela* is here. . .
Angela told me she still remembers Released Time and especially the songs. She named two favorites. She is entering 11th grade.
She said, “We were told that we couldn’t come but family services had enough money to send me and my sister. *Kristen came last week.”
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers” (Galatians 6:9-10).
I am excited. God is at work, changing lives.
