Our fall Energizer was right around the corner, and we had a need. We needed a male counselor. The staff was praying hard for God to bring us the right man for the job.
A former summer counselor was contacted and excited for the opportunity to return to camp. Yes, problem solved. Or so we thought. Finding this incredible young man was only half of our answer. Our counselor was away at college, and did not have his own vehicle to get him back to camp.
Then God brought the other half of our answer. A faithful staff member, and a faithful weekly volunteer gladly accepted the task of picking our counselor up from college, and returning him home after the weekend. Praise the Lord for the many volunteers that partner with the ministry.
As excited as this young man was to come back to camp, his campers were just as excited to have him as their counselor. My son was in his cabin, and described him as a great counselor. He was fun, engaging, disciplined, and had an awesome time of devotions.
Our volunteers are always a blessing. Thank you all for serving the Lord through Joy El.
