There are no coincidences with God. The Bible Adventure team held a Volunteer Leadership Training (VLT) in the morning, and afterward, we stopped for a quick lunch.
At the restaurant, I met up with a friend who has a long-standing relationship with Joy El, as both her children and grandchildren have been involved over the years. Recently, she attended her grandson’s wrestling match, which was held about an hour from Joy El. Several schools were participating. While there, she struck up a conversation with a woman from Baltimore, MD.
The woman from Baltimore asked my friend where she was from. As the conversation continued, my friend mentioned that she attends church in Greencastle, PA. That caught the Baltimore woman’s attention, and she shared this story:
“Baltimore isn’t a nice place to raise children. I wanted to find a camp where I could send my son. I searched online and came across a camp in Greencastle, PA. I called, and ever since, my son has been attending Joy El. We plan to continue being involved. He’s eleven now and is already looking forward to this summer.”
To conclude the testimony, my friend told me that the mother from Baltimore had spoken with me when she first called Joy El. Oh, how God works! I only answer the phone when no one else is available, so it must have been part of God’s plan.
