As I write this letter, the Easter story, the greatest story, has been shared at every Bible Adventure/CIA. My prayer is that it is being shared in every church and in every household. I pray that parents and grandparents are sharing this story with their children. I pray that mentoring pairs are discussing the greatest story.
But the truth is, in many places it is not. This truth has to be told, shared. This story can’t be hidden or hoarded. We can’t be afraid that it might be shared wrong, or that something might get messed up or missed and it shouldn’t only be shared at Easter or Christmas.
Jesus Christ came to die for you! If you have lost the significance of that somewhere in all the daily living, please take a moment and let it sink in again. He died for you. God sent his one and only son to die for you (John 3:16). God wants me to tell you that you are worth dying for. That He wants to spend every moment of every day with you and then He wants you to live with Him forever (John 14:3).
I pray that you are sharing His story with your family and friends but also with all those that God has placed in your path.
Your prayers pave the way for this story to be shared through all the ministries of Joy El. Your prayers soften hearts, give boldness and guide conversations. Your prayers start buses, enlist volunteers and find year-round as well as summer staff. This side of heaven we will not see all the things that your prayers have accomplished.
God has given us the privilege of being part of His story in many different ways and we are thankful and blessed by your willingness to be part of Joy El’s story through your prayers.
Sharing The Story for Him,

April Praises and Prayers
- Praise God for His faithful provision of finances through many partnerships allowing life-change to occur in children and adults at Joy El.
- Praise God for the gift of volunteers that minister the Hope of Jesus to children through listening, teaching, mentoring and prayer.
- Praise God for those willing to share their gifts as bus drivers, nurses, and summer camp staff to lead children in their relationship with Jesus.
- Praise God for those who have donated and invested their time in helping prepare Joy El for summer camp, meeting physical needs so that spiritual needs can be fed.
- Praise God that He blesses the futile human efforts that we bring to give all praise and glory to Him.
- Please pray that the hearts of Joy El staff and volunteers will remain soft to share the greatest gift of Jesus Christ with all.
- Please pray with us that every child will hear the hope of Jesus Christ and be given the opportunity to accept Him as Lord.
- Please pray with us for the hiring of summer camp staff who overflow with the love of Jesus to mentor campers this summer. (We are praying for 59.)
- Please pray for the mentoring relationships at Joy El; Barnabas mentors with 4.12 Leadership Training Program students, summer camp counselors with campers, summer leadership team members with summer staffers, and year-round staff with summer leadership team members to develop disciples of Jesus Christ.
- Please continue to pray for summer camp registrations to increase, allowing many children to begin and grow in their relationship with Jesus.
- Please pray for summer camp preparations at workdays and through others which will allow all campers to be carefree in the care of God.
- Please pray Bible Adventures/CIA as they continue to pour into children. Pray that they not be weary in doing good.
- Pray that many will attend the Joy El Jubilee on April 27 and choose to engage with the ministry.
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
