Bible Adventure is open! Our teams and staff have been praying for the Lord to send children to the programs, where they are waiting to share the love and hope of Jesus Christ with them (Matt. 18:14). While most programs are seeing permission slips come in, there was one program in York County that was not seeing any…yet. J
One of the York county team members learned that there was to be a Children’s Fall Fest at a local church, but nobody on the team was available to go to hand out permission forms. With a last minute change in plans and a quick prayer, the Equipping Coordinator decided to go, although there was only an hour left of the festival.
Upon arrival, she met a young boy, his mother and grandmother. This child just happened to be in 3rd grade at the school where no children were signed up to attend Bible Adventure. The Equipping Coordinator quickly invited the boy explaining the program to his mother. The mother stated that she had wanted to sign him up but wasn’t sure how to do that. The mom filled out the permission form right there. The grandmother then named a few more children that they could invite!
They all left with additional permission forms to give to their friends. We are praising the Lord for the obedience of the Equipping Coordinator to make a last minute decision to go, for God’s sovereign timing to have this family be at the right place at the right time, and for providing this child (and others) with the opportunity to attend Bible Adventure. What an answer to prayer for the team who has been faithfully meeting and praying for just one student!
We are grateful for the faithful service of the Bible Adventure staff and volunteers, who are committed to helping children have a personal encounter with Jesus!
