Earlier this month, I had the chance to attend the Mother Daughter Retreat with my daughter, Cadence—a weekend filled with meaningful moments and memories. The theme, “Be Real,” challenged us to connect authentically with ourselves, each other, and God. Through worship and discussions, we strengthened our bond, sharing deep conversations and prayer time that I hope to continue beyond the retreat.
In addition to spiritual growth, we also enjoyed activities like games, painting, and mini-golf (which I won!). With the gorgeous weather, Cadence and I spent time walking, talking, and simply enjoying each other’s company.
For years, I had said no to attending, too busy with life’s demands. But this year, I finally said yes—and it was the best decision. The time spent together was not only what Cadence needed but what I needed, too. As we left Camp, I felt overwhelming gratitude for the experience, and I’ll cherish the memories of this weekend for years to come. We can’t wait for next year’s retreat!
