Act 2:44 NKJV – 44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common,
Camp is a great time to develop life-long relationships with Christian friends and mentors. In the book of Acts we see the early church living in unity with each other. This spiritual community broke barriers of many kinds.
A week at Camp Joy El has the same power as children live in a community of believers surrounded by others in their peer group that are in Christ. The power of encouragement between the early church members is evident at Camp Joy El as the trained college age councilors interact with the children. They will memorize scripture and discuss how they can apply what they have learned to their lives. They will learn to share physical space as well as share spiritually.
As a young man I can remember the impact of a summer missionary that stayed at our home. I watched as he started everyday with his bible and a time of prayer. A strong Christian role model who was not one of my parents had a lasting effect on me and can do the same for the children of today.
Campers will experience authentic Christian adults living in community with Christ as the center of their lives. They will carry the impact of these godly men and women that serve as their cabin-mates long after camp is over.
Sign your child up today for a week of summer camp where we live in Christian Community here at Camp Joy El. It is easy to register children for a week of summer camp that can change their life.
