The current health crisis has forced us to be creative in new ways to do Bible Adventure with our students. Last Thursday, we hosted our first Bible Adventure meeting on Zoom online. There were 4 kids and 4 listeners in attendance. During this meeting, we reviewed the Armor of God lesson, had sword drills, recited verses and talked with the children about how to apply Scripture to the situation we are facing right now with Coronavirus.
As a bonus, we are also reaching other family members! One boy’s mom sat and watched with him for almost the whole time. He also had a neighbor friend (who hadn’t been in Bible Adventure) join us during the online session from his home. Upon asking for prayer requests, we learned that this neighbor boy has a heart condition, which puts him in the high risk category. His dad is an EMT and is exposed to people who may have the virus. Therefore, his dad is not coming home right now in order to keep his family safe. We were able to pray for him and with him. It was a sweet time of being together and hearing the children’s hearts about what is going on. It’s exciting to be able to encourage them to take their concerns to God.
God is using Bible Adventure in new ways during this crisis. Thank you for praying.
