Last week at Joy El, a Christian camps in PA, 92 Home Schooled students attended the Home School retreat. It’s exciting to be able to partner with Home School parents and give their children the opportunity to get out of the house and explore God’s creation!
While promoting for this retreat I had the opportunity to visit local co-ops and share with them about the exciting opportunity of attending this retreat. At one of my co-op visits I was able to connect with a parent who has had several connections to Joy El, a Christian retreat centers in PA. This parent has had children that are currently involved in and have graduated from the 4.12 Leadership Training Program and have gone through the various camping programs. Connecting with her was a refreshing time of sharing growth of myself through being involved in the programs at Joy El and hearing how the programs through Joy El have impacted the spiritual growth of her children.
As we had the opportunity to connect more we discussed the opportunities to connect with even more Home Schooling associations and organizations to partner with them in not only this retreat, but also as we look to enroll students into our 4.12 Leadership Training Program. This parent was excited about this opportunity and gave several suggestions for connections that could be made. Within the next day or two she had emailed me with several ideas on how to further partner with Home School families.
I am praising God for how Joy El has the opportunity to partner with parents and communities in their children’s spiritual growth and the excitement of parents in furthering these connections from witnessing the growth of their children throughout the variety of programs offered at Joy El.
There are many sessions of Summer Camp including Day Camp and Adventure Camp.
