By Nate Marshall, Director of the 4.12 Leadership Training Program
“What you have heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus.” (2 Tim. 1:13) I love these words from the apostle Paul to Timothy, a younger partner with Paul in the gospel.
What a tremendous privilege Paul had to invest and pour into young Timothy. I am sure it was no small task! Paul understood how much value and impact Timothy would have for the next generation of the church.
Sharing with others (both young and old) about our faith journey can be quite the encouragement to others!
Adults in the Barnabas Program get to do just that – share their faith and their personal faith journey with the next generation. Students in the 4.12 Leadership Training Program each have a Barnabas mentor they choose to meet with and learn from (and many mentors would share that they learn just as much from their student! J).
At the recent Barnabas Fusion event, 4.12 students and mentors were able to hear an encouraging testimony from Luke and Chris, a fourth-year Barnabas pair, about how they have been developing their relationship with Christ and challenging each other. What a blessing!
One of the exciting things in my role is getting to see students and mentors grow together to live out the Apostle Paul’s words!
So, who could you share with today?
