Hello, Joy El Campers! Welcome to the 2022 Fall Retreat Season. We are so excited to have you join us. There are a number of fun weekend events planned, including the Mother/Daughter Retreat in October, Father/Son Retreat or the Momentums in November, and the Bible Adventure Weekend in December. Your registration experience is important to us. We hope the following information will answer a number of your questions and simplify your retreat registration experience.
Did you know…
…you can create a Joy El “New Account” and do retreat registrations on line from the comfort of your home? Click on the CREATE NEW ACCOUNT button on the Joy El registration landing page and follow the prompts.
…you can recover your username and password online? Click on the “Forgot Username?” or “Forgot Password?” prompts under the LOGIN button on the Joy El registration landing page and follow the prompts.
…it is necessary to register each of the campers attending a parent child retreat? The pair is not fully registered, until both parent figure and child are registered as campers. Additional children can be added, as well. Click on the Add New Program button and make your selection for each camper attending the event.
…early registration discounts are applied automatically? To receive the early registration discount, payment in full can be made online, before the end of the early registration period.
…online registration works best from a computer? Some Joy El online registration features are not available through cell phone applications.
…payment for all campers on your account can be made online by credit card? Click on the “Make Payment” button on the Online Registration Dashboard, fill in the amounts you wish to pay for each camper, complete the required fields, and follow the prompts.
…it is necessary to make the minimum deposit of $25 per person for retreats, in order to reserve your spot for the event? Adding a new program for your camper enrolls them as a possible attendee only, the deposit is necessary to make the reservation.
… financial assistance for a retreat is available for children? Under the Retreats tab, select “financial assistance” on the drop down menu. By following the links provided, an application can be completed and submitted on line or printed for mailing later. A $25 non-refundable deposit is required, when submitting the application. The deposit can be made as part of the online event registration process.
…full payment prior to the event streamlines the onsite registration process? Campers that are paid in full and have completed required forms, prior to the event, can express through registration. Those that owe a balance or need to complete forms, go through the regular registration line, which may take longer.
…one cabin mate can be requested for each camper? When registering your camper for an event, feel free to fill in the cabin mate fields to identify who the camper wants to be housed with. Identifying cabin mates for parent/child retreats is helpful, especially when there are different last names.
…most campers need to bring their own bedding, linens, and towels? Sleeping bags or twin bedding work well in the cabin bunks. Bedding and linens are provided in the lodge rooms.
…what to bring to a retreat can be found on the Joy El Retreat website? Select the retreat of interest from the retreat landing page, scroll down to the “what to bring” section for the information.
…retreat registration begins at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening? The events wrap up at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
