Here at Joy El, a Christian Retreat Center in PA, the Camp Team is busily working to prepare for the opening of our Summer Camp season that kicks off on June 12th 2023.
As the new Director of camping ministries I am busying myself with learning the operations here at camp as well as preparing projects to further our programs for the summer.
Olivia, the Program Coordinator, is arranging speakers and music for each week of camp. She is also recruiting the Summer Staff we need to make camps work.
Elijah, the Assistant Program Coordinator, is working to recruit Summer Staff members from various colleges in the area.
Robin, the Guest Ministries Coordinator, along with her other duties is working to help register all the campers who have signed up so far as well as helping recruit the needed help for the summer.
Loretta, the Camping Ministries Assistant, is receiving and processing registrations as well as coordinating bus drivers for summer camp transportation and nurses to provide care to our campers.
Levi, the Housekeeping Coordinator, is busy cleaning between guest group events and working to train our two newest staff members Ben Glessner and Micah Martin, our new house keepers.
It is a blessing to see and be part of a team using their time & talents for the Lord. You play a part too – this ministry couldn’t take place without the prayer and support we receive from so many! Through the busyness of this ministry, we are reminded of and so grateful for the people who make it all possible. God is so good!
