There is a lot of enthusiasm during the first day of staff training. As I talk with summer staff members I am excited about the high caliber of staff the Lord has assembled for this year. God has compiled a team of hungry servants who want to share his love with children at summer camp.
Joey is returning. He came back because, “I like being able to teach the kids and I like the camaraderie with other staff”
PJ is a pre-med student. “I am excited to work with kids. I really enjoy their energy and it gives me energy.”
Elizabeth, “Love working with kids and growing my faith with God!”
Winter will be returning for her seventh summer. “I am looking forward to getting to know the girls and see God work in them!”
Jordan is a junior majoring in pastoral ministry at Moody Bible Institute. “I am most excited to apply what I have learned at school. This year I had a class on disciplemaking. It will be great to put it into practice).”
Training begins with foundational sessions, explaining the significance of our vision and mission. We move into development of the summer theme, revealing the progression of the lessons that campers will learn while spending a week at Christian summer camp in Pennsylvania (PA). And there are many opportunities for the staff to learn about each other to develop teamwork and unity.
Please join us in praying for the staff to grow deep in God this week so they can effectively impact the Christian camping experience of many children this summer.
