How do you measure the impact that caring adults can have on children through the Bible Adventure program? At the end of each school year the volunteers spending time remembering and celebrating what God has done.
A couple volunteers from Lancaster County recently shared how God worked.
Judy was excited that 9 children began a relationship with Jesus. She considers it a privilege to do Bible Adventure. She has seen children grow in God’s Word and have hidden it in their heart. She is committed to praying all summer for more volunteers.
Another volunteer was excited that 2 5th graders began a relationship with Jesus the last week of the school year.
Andy shared that one boy had never been around anyone who prayed. He didn’t know what prayer is. But after being involved in Bible Adventure this year, Andy saw the change in him in just 6 months. Cole* understands and is praying for others and for his family. That was something he never did before.
The last day, Andy received a note from one of his boys, it really moved him and made this year very special to him. “Dear Mr. Kincaid, Thank you for being my Released Time [now Bible Adventure] teacher. You were the best. I will miss you. Love T.* ”
You can see why Andy would say that the boys comment how fast time goes and they want to “hold on” to the time they get to spend together.
Jesus loves children. God is changing hearts in Bible Adventure.
