I hear voices of campers everywhere around camp. At meal time the dining hall is filled. There is a lot of chatter around the canteen. There is high-pitched energy as they come into the worship center and then they sing with great enthusiasm. There are so many different places for them to be.
One place you don’t expect campers is the office. But at Joy El Camps and Retreats, we love it when campers come to the office. You see, at the end of the hallway campers write their names to show that they have begun a relationship with Jesus Christ. All summer long we are able to pray for them, and we are reminded of our mission, “Providing opportunities for people to experience life-change through personal encounters with God.”
Last week I heard many girls’ voices at the end of the hallway. They were excited to write their names on the wall.
More importantly than writing their names on our wall is having them written in the book of life. “If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:15).
