It’s beginning to look and sound a lot like Christmas, but not for the reason that you think. Not because of the Christmas music, decorations, and Christmas lights. Nor is it the extra baking or Christmas lists, and activities. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas because of the message of hope that Christmas brings.
Do you remember the message the angels gave to the shepherds in Luke chapter 2? The message of “Great joy that will be for all the people.” This same message that has echoed down through the ages and generations, is now being repeated in each of or our Bible Adventure and CIA classes.
Just recently I visited Clermont’s Bible Adventure class. The teacher’s lesson was on Heaven and Hell. At one point in the lesson, she came dressed up as Jesus, and explained His sacrificial love for them and on that day 13 children responded and began a relationship with Jesus!
I’m reminded of that familiar Christmas Carol’s line that says, “Joy to the World the LORD has come …Let every heart prepare him room.” We are asking God that every student’s heart in our Bible Adventure and CIA classes will make room for Jesus. Our prayers are that each student will begin a life-long relationship with their LORD and understand the true gift of Christmas.
