Our summer camps continue to grow every year. This past summer we reached over 1620 campers in our summer programs. Since 2011, the Worship Center has provided the opportunity to handle many more campers, but the growth has stretched our facility in other areas.
We anticipated this when our master plan was developed. For years our long-range plans have included additional housing for our summer staff and year-round campers as well as the need for an additional meeting room where 110 campers can gather to sing and learn about the Lord.
Over the last two years this need has become very urgent. Our architect has been drawing plans and we are excited to make the next steps. Our Leader Lodge will provide housing for up to 49 summer staff and guests throughout the year. Currently our summer staff are housed in makeshift dormitories and often are required to move from week to week.
Additionally this facility will provide opportunity for self-contained retreats during the year as well as a Pastor/Speakers suite.
Even though the dining hall has doubled capacity since we’ve opened the new Worship Center, it still isn’t large enough to meet our dining needs. Our desire is to build a centrally located office and Welcome Center. This will allow for the repurposing of existing office space into remodeled and expanded dining space.
In the very near future we plan to begin raising funds for this project. Already the Lord has moved through several generous individuals to provide significant “seed” for this need.
Please begin praying with us and watching to see how the Lord will provide for these exciting opportunities. Your involvement in this process is welcome and appreciated.
