Last weekend our 4.12 students had their first Leadership Training Summit for the year! The summit is a special Christian retreat weekend held three times a year for students in the 4.12 program. We made a special focus on Jesus’ call to believers to be “the salt of the earth” and “the light of world.”
I wanted to share a couple of highlights that the students shared with me following that retreat weekend.
“The sessions were really eye-opening and I feel like I know how to connect with God better.”
One of the first-year students shared this as a result of being at this weekend, “My friend is an unbeliever and I have always wanted to find a good way to share it (the gospel) with her. Now that this summit has encouraged me by being the salt and light of the world, I now know what to do.”
Wow.
I praise God for His work in these students’ lives! I am excited by the impact they are going to have for God’s Kingdom.
Thanks to everyone who prayed for and supported this crucial weekend.
