What child doesn’t enjoy earning prizes? Memorizing verses and earning points has been a big part of the Released Time Bible program for many years.
Recently a third grade student in the Released Time Bible Program earned 25points. Prizes were given out on awards day – including a leather bracelet with a message.
Later that day at listening time, the child was reading the booklet that comes with the bracelet and began asking questions of the listener. You see, it was through the message of the beads that he finally grasped the need for the Lord. He prayed right there and began a relationship with Jesus.
We praise God for the opportunity to share the Gospel in Released Time. Thank you for your prayers and financial support.
Following is the message that the third grade student read*:
Message of the Beads
Gold — Represents Heaven Somewhere we all want to go. “ …and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.” Rev 21:18b |
|
Dark — Represents Sin Our Problem — All Are Sinners “ For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23 “ For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” Romans 6:23 |
|
Red — Blood of Christ God’s Remedy for Sin “ But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 This is what Jesus did for us. He loved us so much that He went to the cross on our behalf that we can have eternal forgiveness for our sin and be saved. |
|
White — All May be Saved Now Our Response to what Jesus did for us on the cross. “ For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13 “ But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the Sons of God.” John 1:12a |
|
Green — Represents Growth “ But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ” II Peter 3:18 The Lord wants us to experience His peace and joy. He has a special purpose for us all. |
Right Now, do you have 100% assurance in your heart, if you died today, would you be with Jesus in Heaven? If God were to say to you, “Why should I let you into my Heaven?” What would you say? You can know this by inviting Jesus into your heart.
My Decision to Receive Jesus Christ as My Saviour
Pray,
Dear Jesus,
I know I am a sinner.
I believe You died on the cross for my sins.
Right now, I turn from my sins and
Open my heart and life toward You and
Accept You as my personal Saviour.
Thank You Jesus for saving me.
What do I do now with my new life in Christ?
- Get a bible and read it daily.
- Talk to God in prayer every day.
- Tell others about Christ.
- Participate in a church where Christ is preached.
- Demonstrate your new life to those around you with Christ’s love and concern.
