Tuesday, October, 13, Released Time started at Iron Forge with 5 students. This is the first RT in the South Middleton School District. Plans are already being worked through to start CIA for Yellow Breeches, another school in that district.
Anticipation was high as the volunteers waited to meet their first group of students. Because of the desire placed in one grandmother’s heart RT has now blossomed in a brand new area. Months of prayers and inviting individuals to learn how they could reach children in their community produced fruit! The children were excited to see the awards they could earn and gave wide-eyed attention as Lisa shared about Joy El summer camps and upcoming retreats. Volunteers are praying for God to lead many more parents to enroll their children.
OTHER RELEASED TIMES ARE GROWING:
Typically a Released Time class will grow during the school year, often doubling. The first week of Released Time, we began with 247 more students than we had last year at this same time. Here is a snapshot of attendance:
–Denver RT ended with 22 students last year, they already have 34 students and are still growing!
–Ben Chambers ended with 71 students last year, they already have 84 this year and are still growing!
–Fulton County ended with 329 students last year, they already have 337 and are still growing!
–Shallowbrook Intermediate ended last year with 31, they currently have 40 and are growing.
We recognize that every number represents a soul, and every soul that attends connects with people who Love God and are sharing His message.
Please pray that God will bring more children and more volunteers.
