We have been so blessed by the warmer spring weather that we have seen. It is so nice to be back outside and enjoy the milder temperatures and the longer days. Signs of new life are all around us. When the days get longer and the weather starts to change, I start to look forward to summer even more.
Summer camp has been one of my favorite parts of summer since I was in 2nd grade. I excitedly anticipated my own first week of camp each year. Recently, I talked with a mom on the phone who shared that her daughter, *Abby, would be signing up and joining us for two weeks this summer.
Abby started attending Joy El’s Bible Adventure program last year when she was in 3rd grade. This year she attended both the fall and spring Bible Adventure weekends and loved being a part of those times. Abby is excited that her school opened up and is starting Bible Adventure again this year recently and could not wait until her first day.
Abby’s mom shared how much she loves being at camp and how she cannot wait for the next opportunity that she has to be here. She continued saying how she can see how Abby’s life has changed through her interactions with Joy El programs and how excited she is for her to join us this summer. Abby loves and has desired to be together with other children!
I am anticipating the many children that will have the opportunity to learn about Jesus in both Joy El’s Bible Adventure and camping programs. I am eagerly waiting to have campers on-site for summer camp and the life change that will happen as campers learn that God will always be with them.
