Students in the 4.12 Leadership Training Program have taken their leadership to a new level. The 4.12 LTP juniors and seniors recently held and ran a banquet and fundraiser that featured 2 not-for-profit organizations that have had an important impact on the local communities. It was encouraging to see how the students took ownership of the project, planning and running this event. They invited those from the local community to come, eat, and hear about how they can support these organizations.
This banquet provided the opportunity for the students to learn not just skills involved in planning, working together, and running an event, but also how to make an impact in the communities that they live in. The students invited those in attendance to help the organizations by donating, and in the end they raised over $1,800. It is through these students that lives are being impacted here at Joy El, in our local communities and in the world at large. It is amazing to see how the Lord is using them to be the hands and feet of Christ in action.
