4.12 Coordinator

Emily’s journey with Joy El began during her sophomore year of high school when she joined the 4.12
Leadership Training Program. By her first summer, she expanded her involvement, serving as part of the summer support staff team. During that first summer she made great connections and further developed her skills and servanthood. Over the next three years she would serve in many different roles, including
leadership positions as a summer senior counselor, as well as leading Bible Adventure/CIA programs. Emily is from York, PA and now lives in Waukesha, WI where she attends Ethnos360 Bible Institute. She’s excited to join the Joy El staff to connect further with the female 4.12 students and help in their discipleship. Outside of work, Emily enjoys running, reading and listening to podcasts, as well as being a big basketball fan—especially the Orlando Magic.
Two verses that are meaningful for her include Ephesians 3:20, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,” and Romans 4:20-21, “Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.” These verses speak to her a lot, but especially reminding her that God is ultimately in control and that even as a wise and able student, it’s always best left in God’s hands by faith.
