David Rudy

Chief Advancement Officer

David has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Elizabethtown College. He lives in the Chambersburg area with his wife, Erin and teenage sons, Joshua & Nicholas. Their daughter Hailey is their oldest child, she also lives in Chambersburg and will be making them grandparents soon, Mimi and Poppy.

Prior to relocating to Chambersburg, David and his family lived in Bangalore, India for two years where he moved from his hometown of Harrisburg, PA. Their family has always had a heart for giving people opportunities to meet Jesus for the first time and a burden for building Christ Centered Communities.

David’s first involvement with Joy El was at the Father/Son Retreat in 2022. His hobbies are watching basketball, which he played and coached for many years, serving children  through the Soccer Shots program, and cooking everything possible on the Blackstone his wife got him.

David is looking forward to interacting and building relationships with Joy El staff, leaders, volunteers, campers and parents, as well as the generous and faithful Joy El donors.

A meaning full verse to David is Galatians 2:20,  ^“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
