Bella’s first connection with Joy El was through the Barnabas Mentorship, as she mentored 2 teens in the 4.12 Leadership Training Program. She was also the Homeschool Retreat speaker in spring of 2023!

Bella is a homeschool graduate and competed in the National Bible Bee for 5 years. In her role, Bella is excited by connecting with others, writing curriculum, and getting to see God work in lives of middle schoolers.

Bella and her husband live in Chambersburg PA with their 2 cat babies, Marley and Binx.

Some of Bella’s favorite activities include writing (she’s been writing since she was 8 and is a published author!), and spending time in the outdoors with her husband.

A current favorite passage of scripture for Bella is Philippians 3:7-11, “But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.” This passage is a reminder to her that the things of this world – even good things like titles, jobs, or money – are meaningless compared to what it means to know Christ.
